AHRA Northeast Group: Winter Meeting

April 2013—With increasing demands for radiology department statistics becoming a way of life, diagnostic imaging leaders gathered on Friday, March 15 to discuss best practices for organizing department data. The meeting, which included over 50 representatives from New York area hospitals as well as free standing diagnostic imaging centers, focused on the theme: "The Changing Landscape in Medical Imaging: Metrics and Analytics."

Hudson Valley October 9, 2012 Area Meeting A Success

December 2012—The Hudson Valley AHRA members, aka, Diagnostic Imaging Leaders of New York (DILNY) gathered on October 9 for its 2012 fall meeting at SUNY Orange County Community College in Newburgh, New York. The meeting, which was held in OCCC’s beautiful Kaplan Hall, offered a day of information sharing, discussion, and networking. In observance of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the theme of the meeting was “Breast Cancer Management.”

Hudson Valley April 24, 2012 Area Meeting A Success

May 2012–The second local meeting of AHRA’s Hudson Valley, New York Group (Diagnostic Imaging Leaders of New York) was hosted by Putnam Hospital Center on Tuesday, April 24. Ernie Cerdena, director of imaging services at Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center, kicked off the event with a couple of rounds of “Who wants to be a state inspector?” A big thanks to AHRA members Viviana Ruscitto, director of diagnostic imaging at Westmed Medical Group, White Plains, New York and Phil Pizzola, director of medical imaging, laboratory, and cardio-pulmonary from Adirondack Medical Center, Saranac Lake, New York for volunteering to join Ernie in his very creative version of the popular game show.
