Retakes and Appeals

Retaking the CRA Exam

Certified Radiology Administrator applicants may retake the examination no sooner than 3 months after the prior examination. At the present time, there is no maximum number of times a candidate may take the CRA examination. Examination fees must be submitted for each examination administration.

A comparative review verifies that the candidate’s answers were scored against the correct examination answer key in order to confirm that the candidate’s final examination score was reported correctly. Please note that the internet-based testing scoring process is very accurate and that Meazure Learning’s scoring process already includes several quality assurance steps, including a review of all examination results following examination administration. To request a review of your results for a $50 fee, please email cra@crainfo.org.

Fees are as follows:

  • AHRA Members: the retake exam fee is $300.00 (plus late fee when applicable).
  • All other applicants: the retake exam fee is $475.00 (plus late fee when applicable).

Applications postmarked or sent electronically after the exam application deadline must also include an additional $50 late fee.

Appeals

If candidates wish to appeal their scores on the CRA Examination, they must submit a written request to Meazure Learning within 30 days of the postmark on the score report. Candidates should be aware that RACC test security and item banking procedures do not permit candidates access to test questions, answer keys, or other secure materials. Meazure Learning will hand-score your examination and mail you the results for a fee—further information can be found on Meazure Learning’s website at www.meazurelearning.com.
